Key words describing our approach are participation, socio-economic incentives and appropriate institutional setting.

In seeking to support the sustainable use of natural resources, Sustainable Livelihood Action recognises that management of natural resources must create positive environmental and development outcomes. This can only be achieved through adopting an interdisciplinary and participatory approach to field implementation, management and research.

Positive environmental outcomes asks to be prepared for climate change which will only threaten the sustainable use of natural resources even more.
Positive development outcomes means that their should be appropriate incentives usually through market links and value chain development.
An enabling environment guaranteeing sustainability asks for appropriate institutional arrangements.

We facilitate a wide range of techniques including PRA methods and tools for analysis, action learning and training. Dissemination of our findings support learning and our lobby and advocacy activities.
